In addition to our classic growing media and technical growing media, Terreau Flore Bleue offers organic mulches. You will be able to find bark (softwood, maritime pines), fertilising miscanthus mulch, and wood chip (hardwood, softwood) mulch variants. These create a natural cover on the earth which provides several advantages for your planting.
Mulches regulate the temperature of the soil and save water, since they slow down the phenomenon of evaporation and maintain the humidity close to your plant. They block out sunlight rays and thus prevent the proliferation of weeds, helping to maintain a clean garden without the use of a chemical treatment.
They avoid soil compaction and develop beneficial microbial life in your planting, too.
Fertilising mulch
- Mulch Copbois is used for fertilising and mulching. It is a 100% natural flax mulch that has many advantages. For example, the mulch slows down the growth of weeds and keeps your soil fresh.
- Mulch Ferti Lin is made from from the scutching of flax. It is ideal for mulching garden beds, vegetable patches, as well as for trees and shrubs. It also has the advantage of nourishing and lightening heavy soils.
Mineralised mulch : pozzolan
A 100% natural mineralised mulch, pozzolan is the perfect solution for your flower beds and garden borders, but also ideal for vegetable plots, as well. This mulch is easy to use and brings a real aesthetic to your plants. Its thickness protects your plants and limits the frequency of watering. Indeed, its porosity allows it to soak up water and gradually let the fluid out.
Plant mulch
Plant mulch is ideal for your window boxes, flower beds, borders and so on... Terreau Flore Bleue offers several types of plant mulch that allow you to reduce weeds and the frequency of your watering, while providing a very aesthetic result, too.
- Pine bark : 100% natural, it comes from the industrial debarking of maritime and Scots pines. The bark is crushed and graded so that it can be marketed in a regular presentation according to grain size.
- Leafy and conifer mulches : coniferous mulch is a 100% natural product. It is both an ornament and a soil improver for your tree and shrub planting as well as your vegetable plots and flower beds. It reduces the need for watering by limiting evaporation and erosion. It also prevents weeds from growing back. Leafy mulch is made up of leafy branches which are crushed just before being delivered to you at your site.
- Coloured or natural ecomulch (40-60 mm) : this plant mulch is a sustainable and environmentally friendly product. It is suitable for mulching trees, shrubs and flower beds.
Ground softening
To reduce the risk of children being injured from falls, the ground should be made of shock-absorbing materials, especially in playgrounds. Our coloured or natural Ecomulch products (5-40 mm) are particularly suited to this purpose since they guarantee durability, stability and easy maintenance.
